Acuda S3 and Friendship 802 review

Acuda S3 2.0mm Black:

I've been playing with these rubbers for six weeks now and I can tell you that if I were to review the Acuda earlier than my review would have been quite different. So what I will do is a review of before and after the 6 weeks for the acuda.

Before 6 weeks:

Wow this is exactly what I've been looking for on my forehand. Before using this I was using T05 and I can tell you for sure that the spin equals and on some strokes exceeds T05. Serving is a smidge spinnier than T05 and offers more control. Speaking of control, this rubber offers fantastic control. T05 was waaaaaay to sensitive to spin and Acuda S3 is a significant improvement on that. I'm using a Timo Boll Spirit as my blade (as you may know from my T05+T64 review) so I haven't found it to be as slow as some other reviews have mentioned but it is still definitely slower than T05 but I was looking for something slower anyway so that worked out in my favor. The throw angle is quite high but a little lower than T05. If I were to give the throw angle height of T05 a 9 out of 10, I would give S3 an 8 out of 10. Of course there is no eur/jap rubber that can beat T05 in counterlooping but I can tell you for sure that S3 keeps the same high spin and good control for this stroke that you would expect from T05 only with the sacrifice of some speed. My drives (while slower of course) are more accurate due to the slightly lower throw angle as are my flicks. Pushes are an improvement however my forehand pushes kind of suck and I really need to work on them. Something I should mention is the sound. The sound is really quite loud and sounds like an air piston going off, I love it! Side-spin loops are also better because the added control allow you to "sculpt" the stroke if you can figure out what I mean. Smashing isn't bad. Again very accurate but (for me) this is the only time I wish it was faster. I'm giving this rubber a 9/10 over all as I really really like it. For contrast I would give T05 a 7.75 out of 10. T05 is PERFECT for counterlooping, good for serving, average for some things, and sucks at everything else while the S3 is fantastic at counter looping, really good at serving, and really good at everything else.

After 6 weeks:

I'm so dissapointed. The speed has significantly dropped, the spin has dropped some, but the control is still there but this means very little to me without the speed and spin to match it. Serving is still ok but definitely not as good as it was. Due to the lowering in spin the throw angle has dropped and I'm hitting into the net way too much. The sound I love has all but faded and only comes out on really hard drives and smashes. I feel like I'm using a different rubber than the one I bought. Again very dissapointed with the lack of longevity.

Patrick Baum we thought could hide his love of tenergy and butterfly blades with his donic logo implants but the plot thickens. Good bye donic table tennis.

Acuda S2 users share your thoughts!!!!

Hi everyone! I just ordered two rubbers for my Andro Super Core Cell Off+ blade last week: Tenergy 64 2.1 (for my bh maybe!) and Acuda S2 2.0!  I just picked Acuda for the price otherwise i would choose take two 64, but now i'm not sure if i did right...  Can someone tell me how different is the hardness between S2 and 64?

Just found the image supposedly of Dimitrij Ovtcharov's table tennis equipment.  Now as many of these images are stills from videos of matches it's not perfect to see.  But it comes from the Polish open 2010.  It may actually be Patrick Baum's paddle instead.   More research is needed.
