Donic F3 Big Slam vs Tenergy 05 FX
I have been a Big Slam user for 1.5 Years. I enjoy the touch and easy I can loop heavy under spin serves and chops. I am concerned the 05 will take some of this away and I am hoping the new 05 FX will help solve these issues.
The Big Slam is also VERY light. How does it compare with 05FX?
Thanks
Steve

05 fx vs f3
Submitted by TT energy on 24 August 2010 - 10:26am.I would recommend you put the o5 fx on the fh only so you can compare yourself. The 05 fx will be faster and spinnier overall. It will also be almost 10 grams heavier. I would keep the f3 on backhand as a more punch kind of style and easier to receive serve. I used f3 for about as long as you have and even though I retry it because it is the lightest rubber in the universe, I cannot go back to it. The lightness is welcome but that lightness is because of its lack of density, I just need more meat in my sandwich to get forward kicking energy in my looping. ps Welcome to the website
tabletennis rubber test
You just have to try as many rubbers as you can afford until you find the right one. when I finally found it I started website around it.
big slam
Submitted by barkj on 24 August 2010 - 7:09pm.boz put me onto big slam and i really like it, even though i dont really like light rubbers. I do like how easy it is to lift chop and control yet it still gets speed and spin sufficient to satisfy me.....,i think unless im hitting tenergy 05 really well :-)
ill try it on my backhand in max when ive finished killing my tenergy05 with this tinhar tuner extra im going to try

Submitted by pnachtwey on 10 September 2010 - 3:10pm.I like what I am hearing about the light weight. Acuda S3 looks good too.
I have a four rubbers to test before buying any more.
big slam
Submitted by barkj on 10 September 2010 - 8:15pm.im interested to see how you get on with the big slam test.. i like that rubber although better players than me refer to it bottoming out...being that soft it hits the wood....i found it easy to loop with , fast and still very spinny personally and am going to use it this next comp.
will try the footwork thing again !
I will be sure to get Big Slam max....
Submitted by pnachtwey on 11 September 2010 - 12:01am.to avoid the bottoming out problem.
I have never played with a German rubber. It is about time iI guess.
BTW, I got a laser pointer and some mirrors so I can align the paddles in exactly the same way. During my first tests without the mirror I could not guarantee the paddles were lined up exactly in the same way so that any differences could be attributed to the paddle alone. In truth I couldn't see that much difference between the rubbers. I need to be more precise. My gut tells me that there are little differences that make a big difference in the percentages and play.

high tech review
Submitted by TT energy on 12 September 2010 - 4:37am.Now when I see that laser video I know you the most serious tester out.
I am going to test today but with the rubbers I have.
Submitted by pnachtwey on 12 September 2010 - 4:46am.I haven't played for two days and plan to go to work to play with the robot. Hopefully it will not be too difficult to align the paddles in the vise. I did a quick test. The laser alignment trick will be very precise but making small adjustments of the paddle in the vise will not be easy. At least no one is going to be able to complain about the paddle angles not being the same.
complain
Submitted by barkj on 20 September 2010 - 6:18pm.it would be a very brave man to question your finding panach....im about to put big slam back on my forehand which i shouldnt do as im just perfecting the bitch slap after the last comp BUT my footwork is way worse now due to it.
got nothing left to prove up here with my crew so why not although i am thinking of having 2 bats, one for playing normal people and 1 for gay choppers
