grippy ping pong rubber

I had my first hit back here in Brisbane today for quite a few hours and I am happy my level seems to be the same as when I left.   I had a quick hit with my t05 fx t64 table tennis master combination and got quickly bored of it against both players compared to using tenergy 05 original with blitz on my yasaka blade.

I used tenergy 05 on my forehand and Blitz on my backhand for most the time and felt pretty comfortable changing to it.   And as usual my backhand was much better in my mind, but one of the players reminded me as usual that my backhand has always been best with tenergy 05 on the backhand.

So I tried playing the other way around for a while, I can't understand now why I seem to play better with blitz on my forehand than I do with tenergy 05 on my backhand.  Well I do kind of, I was really having for the first time in years having trouble keeping the ball low and fast.  It could be because I have used so many other combinations or it could be that tenergy 05 might not be the right backhand rubber for me ever again?

It now feels much better on forehand and the blitz I absolutely must compare it to on the same blade at the same time to tenergy 64 for once and for all.

Tenergy 64 and blitz are different rubbers but I believe it is still the best substitute or alternative for it that I have tried.

I still can't find a grippy ping pong rubber like the tenergy.  I am not sure why and it is bugging me.

I am not sure if something has started to change in my shots because I would never say that I actually started to feel if I had to choose only 1 rubber for both sides I don't know if I could handle double 05 anymore.

I think I want to try Acuda s1 before I get to serious about Blitz because I think Blitz is sometimes too fast for me.

I think i said your backhand

I think i said your backhand has never been as dangerous or hard to return as tenergy05, doesn't mean it was the best rubber for you. I just hate playing against it =P

tenergy 05 different blade

Really it has been a long time since I used my favorite ishlion blade and that is pretty hard so tenergy 05 "high throw" gets lowered. with the softer "pong" sounding balsa blade it was wrong on backhand.

Yes there is a difference between dangerous or hard to return and best for me, but they also could be the same thing right?

Yes they could definitely be

Yes
they could definitely be one and the same. That being said i remember when i used bryce speed, it was the most dangerous and hard to return rubber but i just couldn't get it on the table enough and in the way i wanted it. I still think you're better off with t05 tho =]

Bryce speed tenergy 05 rd ishlion

Sure Bryce speed was insane to play against but also to play with as you mention, 05 on my ishilion was best.

Currently just glued my Red Diamond onto the ishlion. Probably the last test for rd.

Red diamond Ishlion tenergy 05

I hadn't used the ishlion for so long, and oh my god it is a dam rocket! I used it for a about 30 mins on the robot and wow red diamond feels pretty dam good and the 05 on backhand is totally normal again. Every shot is so fast I wouldn't know what to do if they blocked it back. I can't wait to try it against a real person. Serves and short touches just flew out the door!
