How can improve my table tennis racket?

You can improve your table tennis bat in various ways which I will list here.
1. You can sell it and buy one that is more suitable to yourself.
2. Clean your paddle - see our faq section for answers.
3. If you find it too head heavy you could either choose softer lighter rubbers or thinner rubbers, wrap heavy material on the handle or stick some nails in the core of the handle. Also you could bevel the head shape to be smaller.
4. Rarely do people find the blade too handle heavy in which case you could drill holes in the handle and sand it to fit your hand better.

I lightly sand the paddle to fit my hand

I use fine grit paper and sand with the grain. Blades are soft to one must be careful not to sand too much.

I use slow rubbers to compensate for the fast blades.   My 729 Bomb, BC X5 and TBS are all OFF.

I like that idea pnatchwey.

You can improve something a blade that feels to slow with faster rubbers or vice versa. Would this train of thought apply to other things I over looked?

Oh of course that dreaded phrase: if your rubbers seem to make your ball go up to much when you do your normal shot put them on a blade that makes them go down more. You could look for what people call low and high throw and match them together to balance them.
