table tennis books?
So if your already here you know that table tennis books can be very similar to blogs. I got sick of writing on paper about my thoughts of game also so started blogging to make it more interactive. When I was mad about table tennis I went to book store often to find only 1 or 2 books to choose from. I ended up buying one and did enjoy it. But in the age of internet I am wondering how many people would buy a book in paper, on paper whatever.
Do you buy books? I just read online but find it isn't the same. Online I feel reading feels a bit busy, with all the light. At home in a bedroom, even in the toilet, outside on the back deck of the house with the birds, I do like paper to read, the 3d nature of it. And now what will they not invent? Some thing between a computer and a book, they got ipads, and also Amazon has a thing called kindle. I am interested in the "book" in the above picture / link, but I don't have a kindle.

I have an iPad, Ooooh I like it.
Submitted by pnachtwey on 11 August 2010 - 8:57am.I don't use it for reading ebooks or ibooks. I do watch TT videos that I have subscribed to. I think I have subscribed to 6 people now so I have an never ending stream of TT videos. Some I watch many time. The cool thing about the iPad is that I can be anywhere in the house and be connected with wireless.
When playing games I turn on the iTunes too. iPads are great time killers when on the plane and the best part is that they turn on and off quickly and remember where you were when you power them up again which is handy when flying.
The iPad is NOT an eReader by

Typically, websites try to imitate a piece of paper by using a white backing and black text which places a huge amount of strain on your eyes, plus you blink much less when looking at a computer screen so you dry your eyes out.
Finally, a physical book allows you to find some place more comfortable to read, without distraction.
white screen
Submitted by TT energy on 14 August 2010 - 8:22pm.I hate the white screen so much too. That is why I chose at least a slightly darker background. If it were practical I would have light text on a black background but that screws the eyes even more.
The iPad iBook reader has a Sepia option

It makes the text appear in shades of brown. I can also reduce the contrast and the text size easily. I can take the iPad to some place more comfortable, like to bed, and read it with only the iPad for light. The Kindle doesn't compare with an iPad why you compare all the other things that can be done like watching TT videos, playing games, surfing the web, Skype, mail etc.
Under $5 for a book
Submitted by TT energy on 15 August 2010 - 7:07pm.I was watching the book slide show and noticed there are many super cheap books, I wonder how much the postage from the US would cost.
A great place for improving your TT playing levels
