top table tennis players using tenergy 05 on both sides of their blade are not hard to find. There is a lot of talk of the importance to use two different rubbers on your blade. Variety of spin and speed patterns stuffs up your opponents timing. To you it is natural as you always know the right way to either side. But to your opponent they have to constantly think if you have something different.
Although this is true what happens when you find the same rubber unbeatable by any other product on either side?
That is where this group find themselves with 05 both sides of their paddle.

table tennis players using 729
I have been looking around on various table tennis forums to find out if there are any players using 729. It would seem there are a couple of Chinese players but then I find that the table tennis players are using Dhs and not Friendship 729. Would that be because of performance?
Double happiness vs 729
For me as Euro rubber preferer, I have tried only about 20 Chinese rubbers. What I found were that 729 is USUALLY cheaper and kind of feel cheap too. But having said that there are probably more 729 rubbers that seem to work for me than DHS rubbers.
To 729 and LKT are the same company dont quote me but they all seem to play similar.
Double happiness seems like the real traditional Chinese tough tacky kind of rubber.
p.s. sorry I didn't see this comment before...or maybe I chose not to answer it as I felt that the comment was out of place. That's ok...

I like 729 SST Pro Team
For $14 US it is a bargain. It is firm and spinny. The paddle most be closed a lot to keep the loops low. At first 729 SST Pro Team looks like the much cheaper 729 OEM 2.1mm. It is hard to tell the two apart untill you look closely. THe SST Pro Team has a much nicer and smooter top sheet than the OEM version. Also while the sponges look the same at first the SST Pro Team sponge is firmer and springier.
